Imagine our delight when someone emailed and asked about circus themed cupcakes! Ideas ran amok in our mind, we need to do the event justice.
In our somehow twisted mind, we imagined the bride and groom arriving on elephants and lions. They dress gypsy-like and walk on trapeze to the 'pelamin'. They serve popcorns while watching people eat fire instead of demonstration of 'silat'. They will have trumpets and horns instead of 'kompang'. The excitement was in the air while we drafted and sketched ideas.
...Then we read the next line where the customer clearly wrote that it is for her 1-year old son birthday party.
Talk about bursting bubbles.
But we did have fun though crafting the fondants. Clowns, monkeys, lions, elephants and bunnies are new additions to our fondant-craft repertoire.
